 EFRAT STEMPLER  [ artistic collaboration / performer ]

Efrat Stempler grew up in Tel Aviv and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2004. She completed her training as a dancer at the Telma Yalin Art Academy from 1992 to 1995. In 2001 Efrat Stempler completed her training at Tel Aviv University in directing. In 1995 she danced with the Bat-Sheva Dance Company in Israel, after which she worked with various choreographers and ensembles, including the BarakMarshall Dance Company. There she worked as a dancer and artistic collaborator of Stiefermann on various choreographies (including DAS LEWSKOW-MANUSKRIPT, EIN SPORTSTÜCK, MEMOTRIP). After Stiefermann’s return to Berlin, she has worked with him again as an artistic collaborator. In 2006 she founded her company ‘cie Efrat Stempler, with which she has performed internationally. Since 2008 collaboration with the director Wojtek Klemm in Germany and Poland. In 2015 she initiated and curated the festival “The smart, the wicked, the simple and the one who doesn’t know how to ask” which brought together German, Polish and Israeli artists. She initiated and co-curated the festival POST in November 2015 in DOCK11. In 2014, 2015 and 2018 she worked with young people in various projects at Junge DT in Berlin. Since 2018 she is lecturer at the ZHDK Zurich.

 HARTMUT SCHREWE  [ text / dramaturgy ]

Hartmut Schrewe is a dramaturg and freelance author for plays. He learned scenic writing from David Spencer at the Free University of Berlin, who became his mentor. To date, Hartmut Schrewe has written almost a dozen plays and the musical “Swingtime – Wir tanzen weiter”. He has worked with MS Schrittmacher for many years. Among other things, he wrote the texts for ANATOMIE EINER NACHRICHT, ALICE IM WUNDERLAND, BITTE WENDEN, ANITA BERBER, 2121 and has been responsible for the content and dramaturgy of the group since 2011.

NATALIE BAUDY [ dramaturgy / text ]

was born near Augsburg and grew up in Ulm. She studied theatre and musicology in Mainz, Paris and Berlin and dramaturgy at the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich. Before and during her studies she worked as an intern at the Staatstheater Mainz, the dance company Nanine Linning/Theater Heidelberg, the Berliner Ensemble and the Maxim Gorki Theater, among others, and realized her first own projects at the PENG! in Mainz, the TOWER 2k15 in Berlin. Since August 2018 she has been living in Berlin as a freelance dramaturg and author. With her play RAUSCHEN – ODER: WENN DU NICHT EXISTIERST, GEH MIR BITTE AUS DEM LICHT. DANKE. She has been working closely with MS Schrittmacher since 2015, most recently in the production A BETTER LIFE in Sofia. 

 ALBRECHT ZIEPERT  [ composition ]

Albrecht Ziepert is a musician and composer. Since 1999 he, known among other things as the pianist of the Leipzig band Pentatones, has been working as a composer for various theatre productions, films and audiovisual projects in addition to his own band projects. In 2012 he wrote his first orchestral commission for the MDR Symphony Orchestra. 2013 he was with Pentatones for the VIA! Award of the Association of Independent Music Companies as best newcomer. Since 2011 he has been musical director of various productions at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen. In 2014 he worked together with MS Schrittmacher for the first time in the project ANITA BERBER RETRO/PERSPEKTIVE and since then he is the composer of MS Schrittmacher in all productions. www.albrechtziepert.com

 ANTJE ROSE  [ dancer/dramaturgy ] 

Antje Rose was an artistic gymnast after graduating from high school and completed a dance training at Etage Berlin. She had engagements with Dance Berlin, Constanza Macras, Xavier Le Roy, Dance Theatre of Ireland, Dance Company Rubato, Staatstheater Oldenburg – MS Schrittmacher and the Kulturetage Oldenburg. Antje Rose has worked as a choreographer for the Theater am Halleschen Ufer and the Staatstheater Oldenburg. In 2007 she founded the youth dance company Roses & Co., in which young people and professional dancers perform together on stage. She has been working with MS Schrittmacher since 2001 and has been involved in many productions both on and off stage, most recently in the Doppelpass project QUO VADIS, BELLUM?

 BRIT RODEMUND   [ dancer ]

born in Berlin, trained at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, danced as a soloist at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, the Aalto Theater in Essen and the Ballett Nürnberg. From 2000-2015 she freelanced and worked with Marco Santi, Christian Spuck, Katja Wachter, Nina Kurzeja, Christoph Winkler, Efrat Stempler, Tomi Paasonen, Dansity Amsterdam, Helena Waldmann, MS Schrittmacher and Maya Matilda Carrol, among others. In 2013 she worked for the first time with MS Schrittmacher in the productions GOLD® and KOMM ZU MIR and in 2014/15 in ANITA BERBER RETRO/PERSPEKTIVE, AUSDRUCKS-MOBIL andPLACES&TRACES. From 2015 – 2018 she was a member of the Dance On Ensemble under the artistic direction of Christopher Roman, at the initiative of Diehl+Ritter, where she worked with Lucy Suggate, Matteo Fargion, Rabih Mroué, Kat Valastur, William Forsythe, Deborah Hay, Jan Martens, Johannes Wieland and Ersan Mondtag. She has been teaching for dance companies, professional dance studios and universities for over 20 years. She is currently working again as a freelance dancer and teacher.

 NICKY VANOPPEN  [ dancer ]

Nicky Vanoppen completed his training at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. This was followed by engagements with the Tanztheater Basel and the dance company Oldenburg / MS Schrittmacher. Since 2003 Nicky Vanoppen has been living as a freelance dancer in Berlin and has since worked with Livia Patrizi, Bernhard Baumgarten, Cie. Efrat Stempler, Canan Erek, Marco Sant, Renato Zanella and Shangchi Sun. Since 2006 he is choreographer and dancer with Antje Rose in the youth dance company Roses & Co. He has been working with Martin Stiefermann / MS Schrittmacher since 2001 and has since then performed in numerous MS Schrittmacher productions.
